Frustrated

I hate how our laptop is 17.3" wide. I can't make a proper layout for my Blogger account because of it. It's frustrating 'cause my blog is supposed to look like this:

but ends up looking like how you see it. I've spent hours making it look right for normal-sized laptop/desktop users, but I can't seem to do it. Now the scallop borders are useless. :(
