I am a sucker for romantic movies. Having said this, you'd prolly understand why I wanted to check out two movies badly. Watched Unofficially Yours last Feb, and yesterday, it was time for The Vow.
We were supposed to meet up at 3pm, but I showed up 1 1/2 hours late, missing the 4.10pm schedule. After waiting for hours, we got in the cinema at 6pm.
I only have 4 things to say about the movie:
- Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams look good together as a couple.
- It's a fresh concept, yet it lacks unpredictable twists and substance. I came in ready with a pack of tissue but I wasn't able to cry hard enough to use them. It's sad but not soul-crushing.
- It's a perfect Valentine's day movie since it focuses on the feelings that bring couples together. But that's about it. We hardly had anything to talk about after the credits rolled in.
- Curse the kid in front of us who kept on standing and talking when the scenes were supposed to be good. Half of the reason why I didn't cry so much should be blamed unto him.
